Spy Cams are often referred to by many names such as, nanny cam, hidden camera, or spycam. In each case the primary goal is the same. The ability to spy or monitor an area or subject with a camera the is not in plain sight. Which can be either a full motion video style camera or a still image capture style camera.
Practical uses may include monitoring a place of business to prevent theft or employee waste. Or, one might have a need to spy on a care provider, nanny or baby sitter that might be suspected of mistreating a child or elderly person in your absence. In a best case scenario, spy cams in many cases may provide piece of mind knowing that all is well in your home or office.
Over the past 10 years cameras have been made smaller and smaller making them easier to conceal. A spy cam can be hidden inside most any household item. Usually household items that already have a native power cord are best. It is easier for manufactures to conceal a wireless spy cam inside an object like a clock radio when power is readily available. Having an unlimited power supply will keep the spy cams operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is also easier for the consumer, as they do not have to run power cables to the cameras. A consumer can simply move the item from room to room plugging it into any AC/DC power outlet as needed.
